BELT DRIVEN
Converts rotary motion to linear motion by means of a timing belt connected between two pulleys.
The belt is normally steel-reinforced polyurethane belt.
The belt and pulleys are normally encased in an aluminum body with a load carrying carriage.

SCREW DRIVEN
Converts rotary motion to linear motion by means of a ball screw or acme screw.
A mounting carriage is attached to the screw nut.
Screw is normally encased in either an aluminium of steel housing.
